Ibéria Embalagens was founded in Aguaí, in the state of São Paulo. Over more than four decades, we have become a respected name in the corrugated packaging industry, with an integrated operation, a culture of continuous improvement and close, long-standing relationships with our clients.

Our History — 1956 to Today

1956
|

José Gallardo Alonso arrives in Brazil from Spain. Through hard work and determination, he builds a business collecting and trading recovered paper, planting the seed of what would grow over the following decades.

1982
|

Gonzalo Gallardo Diaz acquires a paper mill in Aguaí, in the state of São Paulo, marking the start of what would become Ibéria.

1987
|

Ibéria is officially founded in Aguaí, SP, by partners of Spanish origin. The company begins producing corrugated sheets, boxes and accessories, built on Iberian roots and Brazilian soil.

Anos 1990
|

Production expands. In 1992, the supply chain is strengthened through guaranteed access to our own paper production.

1995–2000
|

ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications.

Anos 2000
|

The manufacturing plant is modernized. In-house logistics with a dedicated fleet.

2006
|

The D2G Club is founded, a dedicated space for employees and their families, focused on connection, development and well-being.

2007
|

The paper supply base expands, strengthening supply-chain independence and predictability.

2015
|

The Ethics Committee is created, and Ibéria publishes its first Code of Ethics.

2018
|

Investment in social and cultural projects consolidates Ibéria’s social responsibility programs.

FSC® certification for responsible raw material sourcing.

The start of one of the most important cycles in Ibéria’s history, with projects that modernize operations and prepare the company to operate at a new level.
